Like My Daddy Does
Earlier I posted about my Grandma's and Grandpa's gardens in Omak. You can find them here and here. This post will be about my dad's garden here in Snohomish! So every time I come home, he always has to give me a "tour" of what he has done with the place as soon as I walk in the door. But I must admit that the yard does look pretty good. It always makes me wonder if the yard has always looked liked this, and I am just now noticing it because of my interest in gardening now. Or if this is a new occurrence. They tell me that it always looked like this... so where was I while this was happening?

Looking out my Window
Carlotta Cisternas
I move back to college very very soon, and we do not have a garden where I live. So my garden will hopefully reside on my windowsill...

See ya Omak
My summer is quickly coming to an end. Yesterday I made the drive back over the mountains, to the other side of the state, so I can spend a couple days at home before heading to Pullman. But before I left I had to watch the parade. This last weekend was the World Famous Omak Stampede, and the little town just explodes with people from all over. It is quite the event. Here are some pictures from the parade.

Pink Clouds? **UPDATE**
While driving down the street here in Omak, this tree caught my eye. My first thought was a smoke tree, but there are no leaves, and there is both pink and green "smoke". Does anybody know what it is? I like this tree and would like to know what it is.
**Update**
Larry from Conrad Art Glass & Gardens identified it as a Tamarix ramosissima.
